Success Intervention

CNBC's The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch showcases Pacific Northwest Consulting Group and my family. After two weeks of preparation, the portrait of PNCG aired on CNBC Thursday 9/25/2008. Donny Deutsch and his power panel (Troy Dunn, Self made millionaire & Host of "The Locator", Mel Robins, Attorney, Entrepreneur, Nationally syndicated radio host, and coach to Fortune 500 Business Executives, Richard Machowicz, Former Navy Seal, Founder of The Bukido Institute, Author, “Unleash the Warrior Within” and Rich Sloan, Co-founder of StartupNation.com) gave amazing advise to help enable not only PNCG to experience success but for me to experience success personally. My Story:

We all experience times in our lives that push us to re-evaluate our position at the moment. I recently had one of those moments.

After negotiating an offer for employment with an oil firm, I accepted the position of plant manager. Three days before I was to begin and two weeks after I retired from my then current position, I was told that the new company had gone bankrupt. My employment offer had been rescinded.

I had spent the last 12 years working to secure my future and the future of my family. It had all come to a head at this moment. I was unemployed and at risk. I felt my ability to secure the future of my family had been destroyed. As was my destiny. It had been put in the hands of another entity. What could I do? Is there a job that I can do in this market? I have received many offers to advance my career in the past, but I would have to move my family out of the area to take the positions. This was just not an option with three teenage children.

Four hours into what I call "my pity party", I knew that I was not being productive. I grabbed a notebook and started writing a list of my skills. What it was that made me smile everyday? What it was that made me such a sought after leader within the manufacturing industry? My list was big, but pared down to the basics, it was manageable. I now had my plan. This plan would change over the next few days to incorporate successful strategies but it would keep it's original intention, to become The Engagement Resource and help employees and businesses realize their true world-class results.

Now, with the help of The Big Idea's Power Council including Rich Sloan, I am making the improvements to the business and my personal techniques. focusing on my passions and putting together my client guarantees. BACK
