Effectiveness is measured by mapping the current state of your policies and comparing them to how you actually do things in the facility. Using that with the safety standards written by OSHA or other governing agency allows the building of that roadmap. This is a true proactive measurement that allows for real time feedback and assessment. If your policies are tight, you are adding to the foundation of your compliance and safety standards. |
Most businesses use lagging measures to determine how effective your policies are. While lagging measures like injury rates are important and have a place in business, we have found that they are not the best way to measure effectiveness. Once you have an injury, it's too late. Our Policy Effectiveness tools allow a clear view of how effective your current safety policies are. We will then work with you build on the areas of opportunity within your systems. Removing the current systems and starting over is not a cost effective approach to building safety culture or revamping safety within a work group. We work with what you have and build on that.
